Hired by A.V. Roe Canada in 1946 in the Gas Turbine Division as an engineer working on the Chinook in 1946, worked on the Iroquois by 1954 as Assistant Chief Design Engineer, then became Chief Design Engineer in 1955. Acknowledged by Roy Dobson at 10th anniversary dinner in 1955. Deputy Chief Engineer, Design, Aerodynamics and Material - 1957. Wrote the book "The Orenda History" and involved with the Arrow and Arrow 2 in 1958 and retained after the Black Friday becoming Orenda's Assistant GM Nov 2, 1959. Promoted to VP and GM in 1960, moved into the role of Director of Engineering - 1967, later promoted to Director of Engineering and Sales 1970. Had a curling cup named in his honour 1972, retired from Orenda in 1981 as Director of Engineering and passed away in the spring of 1991.
