Standards inspector with Victory Aircraft starting in 1943, joined Avro in 1945 working in the Time Study Dept. Received 5 year service award in 1951 and 10 year award in 1955 at the first 10 year awards event. Presented with first off the line rotor 1951. Listed as Assistant - Experimental Machine Shop in 1950 with Avro's Gas Turbine Division, General Works Manager in 1952, went on to become VP Manufacturing 1954 then Executive VP & GM in 1958, appointed President of Orenda subsidiary "Orenda Industrial Ltd" in 1958. Announces termination on Feb 20 1959 (Black Friday) over the PA at Orenda. Promoted to President of Orenda Engines 12 May 1959, then resigned Aug 21, 1959. Went on to join American General Motors as Executive Vice-President and General Manager before being promoted to President in 1961 - died 15 Nov 1973
