Moved to Canada and joined Avro Canada in 1947 initially assigned to the Engine Test and Development Department at Malton (which later evolved into Orenda Engines Ltd.). By late 1947, he was one of the earliest test pilots connected with the Orenda program before moving into aircraft flight testing with Avro itself in 1948–49. Assistant test pilot (to Don Rogers) on the Jetliner, co-pilot when the Jetliner flew to NYC. Flew Orenda powered Sabre from Toronto to Montreal at 665 mph on CF-100 in 1950. Flew the Lancaster XO with two Orenda engines on the outboard positions in 1950. Present at design office dinner 1950 and listed in a 1950 Avro News as being in the Stamp Club. Starred along with wife and son in an National Film Board - Immigration Department movie 1955. Commented about pilotless planes in The Orenda 29 April 1955. Became Chief Test Pilot for Orenda in 1956. Flew the B-47 (CL-52) with Iroquois engine 1956 (extinguishes fire in flight 1958). Attended Zura's retirement in 1958. Listed as working in the Experimental Engineering Dept as Chief Test Pilot in 1959 and survived initial layoffs from Black Friday. Went on to de Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. - Worked with the Avro 748 Sales new position 1961. New position of Marketing Manager, with Field Aviation in 1965. Attended Avro Arrow reunion, International Centre, Malton March 26, 1983. Signed the Jetlineer 50th anniversary poster in 1999. Died Feb 23, 2004
