promoted to Air Marshall - 1947. As Air Marshall he was associated with the Chinook engine project, attended the CF-100 test flight in 1950 before he retired from the RCAF 31 Jan 1953. Worked in the Board of Directors as RCAF Air Marshal 1952 - Receives letter from Bristol Aeroplane Co. re. proposed collaboration with Avro on turbine engine development and for Avro to sell Bristol engines. Hired as Vice-President of A.V. Roe Canada Limited. Was elected vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of Avro Canada in 1953. Attended the 1955 Avro 10th anniversary dinner. Awarded Honorary fellowship of CAI at their 1956-57 event. Attended the CF-105 roll-out in 1957. As Vice Chair he presented a paper at UofT 1958. Avro vice chairman living at 475 Oriole Pkwy in the 1959 Might's Greater Toronto Directory. Joined advisory committee of new aeronautical programme at Ryerson Inst. Of Tech. 1960. As Hawker Siddeley Canada Ltd. Director he attended the Orenda Board of Directors meeting 1964. Inducted to Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame in 1984. Died in Toronto 7 Aug 1977.
