Avro employee. Hired from de Havilland in Mar 1951 to join his friend John Frost. Was initially involved with the Special Projects Group on the XC-100 (later the CF-100) program. In the Special Projects Group as an aerodynamicist he was involved with VTOL and the Avrocar as Chief Aerodynamicist - 1953-1959 (he held patents on air cushion) and probably until 1961 when he lost his job when the Avrocar was cancelled. He later tried to develop a skirted hovercraft.
