Description

Bev McCarter graduated from the first aeronatuical engineering class at the University of Toronto in 1948. He was hired in 1949 and worked with the C-102, CF-100, and CF-105 as an Aeronautical Engineer. In 1952 Avro sponsored him to attend the College of Aeronautics Cranfield. Worked with the Longitudinal stability and damping of delta wings at various speeds Thesis 1954. He prepared a number of reports over his career and many of those are now with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, ON - some of these included reports on the Jetliner, Arrow and even Avro's Supersonic Trans-Atlantic Airliner (1959) - details can be found via object 733).
