Was working with Avro as early as at least 1955 involved with the CF-105, with the Engineering Division in 1958 as a Project Designer Arrow 1. Also Engineering Specail Assistant to the Chief Engineer working on the Arrow 2. Other positions included working with the Engineering Division in 1958 as a Project Designer Arrow 1, Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer in 1959. In 1959 was also involved with the Industrial Gas Turbine as Director of Engineering . Moved from Asst GM & Chief Engineer to be the VP & GM of Orenda in 1960, Fred worked with the Special Projects Group and killed the Avrocar project in 1961 and fired John Frost and Des Earl. Became President of Orenda Jan 5, 1967.
