Joined Avro in 1951, listed in 1952 as production planning manager, then works manager, left his role of general manager in charge of production for the former aircraft division that he had been in since 1953 to join Dowty Hydraulics Units Ltd as director and GM in the summer of 1955. He had been also appointed as director of Finance and administration for Avro Canada when he replaced R.D. Armstrong in 1953. Avro internal memo's from 1952-1953 show that Mr. Wiseman was addressing timekeeping issues at Leaside with J. Turner.
