Description

A lapel pin from the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree at the Irvine Ranch area, now Fashion island. The jamboree was held in 1953 and is the reason that Jamboree Road got its name. Prior to the Jamboree, the area was undeveloped land. The pin is approximately an inch in diameter with the words National Jamboree, Irvine Ranch, Calif-Boy Scouts of America-1953 embossed around the outside. The inside features a horse and a covered wagon. It has a golden color and is likely made from plated brass.

Use

The pin was worn by a girl named Chris, whose brother was at the Jamboree. She was young and got pulled into the activities. As a result, she was given a lapel pin.
