A color photograph postcard of the Balboa pier at sunset (yellow-red) with a pull back illusion in the bottom right hand corner revealing an image of a sailboat passing along the shore in the harbor in daylight. "Newport Beach" is written in the lower left corner in white with a black shadow outline behind it and "California" is printed below in a red-yellow gradate box. The pullback illusion is semi transparent, allowing some of the top image to show through where the "wolf" is located.
