Description

A compas issued by the Boy Scouts of America to scouts. The compass is attached to a plexi or acrylic mini-ruler and there is a small hole so it can be attached to a string or cord for transport. The compass has a metal disk around it with both the directions and angles inscribed on it.

Use

Navigation, with the clear surface making it possible to lay the compass on a map and still see the map below. The rulers would have allowed scouts to measure the distance between points and then translate it based on the map's scale information.
