Description

A photograph postcard taken from the boat docks to the left of the Peninsula ferry dock. There are people waiting to rent a boat and the ferry can be seen crossing towards the ferry dock. Balboa Island is visible in the distance. The photograph is nearly identical to another postcard with the same image, simply the location of the ferry boat, people, and a slight move of the camera are different. Both photographs might have been taken on the same day. Two copies, one sent and one never used. One of the postcards also has rounded edges. Both have a blurb on the back about Balboa, Balboa Island, and the Newport Harbor. The photograph is by Merle Porter, published by Royal Pictures and printed by Dexter Press. Postcard number 50324.
