A color advertising postcard for Hobo Joe's, a cafe chain located in California and Arizona. The card features a painting or pastel sketch of Hobo Joe, the chain's mascot, running to catch a train. His hand is nearly closed on the side bar and his bag with his puppy inside is visible behind him. The card is vertically printed, with a banner across the bottom that reads "Hobo Joe" World Traveler, Philosopher, and Connoisseur of Good Food". Unused. The back reads "Hobo Joe's Colony Foods, Inc, 1801 Dove Street, Newport Beach, Calif. 92660" in the upper left corner beside an image of Hobo Joe and his dog. The card was designed by Locantore in Costa Mesa and printed by Kolor View Press in Los Angeles. Print number 6587/ KV6587D. This was one of the six cards sent to Earl Buyok by "Me". Hobo Joe was originally designed by artist James Casey of Venice, California.
