Description

A colorized photograph postcard of the dory fleet between the Newport Pier and the Newport Pavilion with a frame around it. There are several men pulling boats on shore near the water. The railroad station is visible on the pier beside it along with some kind of an inclined surface that might be for unloading cargo. The border is blue fading to white and the immediate border around the image is a raised white rectangle with rounded corners to get the send of looking through a window. Sent on July 18, 1911 to S. A. Beitiand in Los Angeles by her husband who was in Newport Beach at the time. This postcard was sent a day after the previous one sent on July 17, 1911. Published by George O. Restall in Los Angeles and made in Germany. Series No. N. B. 01. Sent using a Franklin 1 cent green stamp. Back reads "The Rieder Post Card".
