A colorized or stylized image of people bathing in the ocean in the 1900s. Some of the bathers are holding onto a rope meant to keep people from drowning in the ocean or being swept out. There is a dog in the current as well. The bathing suits resemble full dresses or suits and many of the women have their hair covered. The post card was sent September 5, 1907 to Mr. Hazford. The Town the postcard was addressed to is difficult to read and may no longer exist. It might be Colton. Published by Newman Post Card Co. in Los Angeles. Made in Germany. Postcard number 5292.
