May 11, 1942 Dear Aunt Mable. I have been in the Hospital with my hand, but I am out now. It is still in a bandage but it feels good. I was glad to get your letter. I am sorry to hear about Aunt Dini but as you say I suggest she is much better off. At lease she won't be alone. This is a nice climate out here. Love & all. Mauria
