A color photograph of one of the channels around Newport Island with boats docked to either side. There is a small white banner on the bottom that reades "Balboa Bay Color by Merle Porter". The card has a deckle (ragged/crimped) edge.
The photograph was taken looking up Rivo Alto where it intersects with the portion of Rivo Alto that encircles Newport Island (T intersection). The photograph was looking towards the intersection and likely took the photograph either from the end of the channel standing on land or from a boat in the channel. There are docks with boats on either side of the channel.
Unused. The back notes this is the Newport Island area. There is a small paragraph about the area written by Merle Porter. Photograph by Merle Porter, published by Royal Pictures in Colton, California. Postcard number C-67.Subject Place
