A colorized photograph postcard of the Newport harbor during the flight of the snowbirds. The snowbirds are between the Pavilion and Balboa Island. The Balboa Yacht Basin and Ken Nile's Villa Marina along with the Beorering service station are visible along the top of the image. Sent on July 23, 1953 from Santa Ana to new Castle Pennsylvania. Sent by Dick Eakin to Mr & Mrs William Studebaker. Published by Western Publishing & Novelty Company and printed by Curteich-Chicago. Postcard or image number 3C-H350. Stamp cancel reads "3rd National Jamboree Boy Scouts of America July 17-23, 1953." The "H" indicates the postcard was made from a black and white image reprinted using a five-color process on linen stock.
