Description

Three copies of the same colorized photograph postcard showing the old Newport Landing with boats passing in front of it. There are two buildings on the sand and a pair of docks visible in all three along with a series of buildings on the hill above. There are minor differences between the postcard titled "Scene on Newport Bay" and "View of Newport Bay", namely in the clouds and some of the coloring details. This may be related to variations in artists rather than the image itself, as the composition of the image between all three postcards is identical. All three postcards are unused and have the same back. The postcard titled "Scene on Newport Bay" is noted to have been published by George P. Wilson while the other postcards do not list a publisher. All three were printed by Curteich-Chicago and have the same print number of R-35820. The stamp boxes do vary between "Scene on Newport Bay" and "View of Newport Bay".
