BIM2020.005.68Description
A black and white photograph postcard featuring the Collins Island bridge. Collins Island is on the right and Balboa Island is on the left. with the photographer standing on a platform over the water, likely like the one visible in the photograph just in front of the bridge. There is a large hole in the wall around Collin's Island. The photograph may have been taken around the time that Collin's Castle was dismantled and demolished based on the number of people visible on the island and the presence of a pipe that, in all other photos of the island, is further down the wall. The Castle is not visible due to the angle. Two women are visible passing the bridge on North Bay Front.
The postcard is unused. The back is a standard postcard back with the EKC stamp box. There is no information regarding the photographer, manufacturer, or publisher.Subject
