Description

A color photograph postcard looking towards Balboa Island from either the water or the Peninsula. The hills are visible behind it and 526 South Bay Front is visible on the left side. There is a large white sailboat with a blue mainsail and jib in the foreground identified on the back as the Bay Queen. Two copies from different years, one sent and one unused. The back has a small blurb about the "Bay Queen", the blue-sailed sloop in the photograph. The blurb is different between the two cards, but the content and subject are the same. The photograph is by George Elton Watson and copyright 1957 to him. Published by Golden West in Long Beach. Two different printers, though only one is identified on one card as Colourpicture. Stamp box reads "Place Stamp Here S11038" inside a solid box on first card and is covered by a red 2 cent Jefferson stamp on the second. Postcard numbers are GW 162 and GW 2162. Print numbers are S11038 and P5392.
