Name/Title
Newport Beach Cal. Corona del marEntry/Object ID
BIM2020.005.495Description
A black and white image of the Corona del Mar beach with a red clay piece insert on the right with the title on it. The right piece is a photograph of an engraved piece of clay with the title information. The beach is a long stretch of sand with the cliffs at the other end and was probably taken from around the location of the jetty or a little further down.
Unused. Published by Peabody & Co., Newport. Made by Walt. M. Reeves. Stamp box is a solid box with circles that resemble half moons in the corners and "Place Stamp Here Domestic One Cent Foreign Two cents" inside. One side is only for the address. The other appears to have space for a message on either the top or bottom, though it is not clear if that is the case or not. The back also has a photograph of a piece of clay with "California Souvenir" on top and a mission-looking carving beneath with the artist's information below that.Subject
