Two copies of a colorized photograph postcard of Newport Beach near the Newport dance Pavilion and Newport Inn. The photograph was taken out on the water looking towards the shore. It may have been taken from the Newport Pier. The Newport Dance Pavilion is to the right of the image and a tall building with towers in the corners is further down the street. A good number of people are playing in the waves.
One copy was sent and one is unused. The sent copy was mailed on August 13, 1919 at 6 pm from the Newport Beach post office. It was mailed to Master Teddy Coffuian in Santa Ana from "Muzzy".
Two different printers and possibly publishers. One is by Souvenir Publishing Co. in San Francisco. The postcard number is I-32 and R-35817 (one is a postcard number and the other is a print number). The second is by Curteich-Chicago with a print number of R-35817. The Curteich-Chicago print is from circa 1913.
The blank copy has an embellished stamp box that resembles a building with the word "Stamp" inside.Subject
