Two copies of a color postcard of people fishing from the Newport Pier taken in 1956 by George E. Watson. The photograph was taken from the end of the pier looking down and a long table where people are preparing their lines or fish can be seen on the right side. Looking towards the beach. The words "Newport Beach, California" are printed in cursive-style script on the upper left corner.
One unused and one sent. The sent postcard has been exposed to water or another liquid which has lightened and smeared the ink. It is still somewhat legible, though not completely. The stamp has been removed and there is a pink stain on the paper where it remained. Likely it was a red 3 cent stamp. The postcard was addressed to Mable Knapp and sent on May 21, 1965 from Fullerton to Aptos, California with a zip code.
