BIM2020.005.57Description
Two copies of a black and white photographic postcard looking down Park Avenue towards the little island bridge from between Agate and Onyx Avenue. The photographer was standing on the south side of the street when the photograph was taken. This is one of the few photographs where the back side of 201 Marine Avenue is visible, including a sign for Island Beauty and Barber Shop, which might have been located beside the post office in a smaller unit.
The back of the postcard is a standard backing. Two copies. One copy has a DOPS stamp box and the other an EKC stamp box. Both have numbers written on back. The DOPS postcard has "155" and "18-" written on the back; the second number may be a price. The EKC postcard was used to do some math, adding 14.00 and 10 to reach 24, with the number 50 in a box. The EKC copy shows some blurring and cropping along the right edge of the photograph which the DOPS copy lacks.Subject
