The photographs include beachgoers along the shore, a group of women playing in the waves, beachgoers under umbrellas, a game of tug of war on the beach, and two central images of crashing waves, one under moonlight and one at dusk or dawn. The title "Greetings from Balboa, Calif." is written across the top in two split lines. The background is pale yellow with a red and green strip near the bottom.
