June 19, 20, and 21, The state capital of Boise housed an invasion of thousands of Basques from the states of Washington, Nevada, California, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, and Montana to attend "Jaialdi 87" at the facilities of the former state penitentiary in Boise. Faced with this avalanche of Basques, the bertsolari Jon Enbeita baptized Idaho as the eighth Basque province.
