Description

Postcard showing Batavia Ave North of Main Street. Based on comparison of buildings to Sanborn maps, photo is no earlier than 1897, no later than 1916. Road is dirt, with streetcar tracks running along it. Horses and wagons can be seen on the left as well as further down on the right. Power lines run along the left side of the street, while large trees are on the right. Signage on the second storefront on the left seems to show a meat? market and a storefront for E.F. Collins. The Revere House Hotel with 3 porches is the third structure on the left.
