Red mechanical pencil owned by Charles Pratt with "PROPERTY OF U.S. NAVY" lettering on the side. Pencil was stored in bicorne hat box. Missing clasp at end.

Context

Charles Pratt was an ensign onboard Battleship Texas for a brief time in 1921 and would continue to serve in the Navy until 1942. He collected much throughout his military life and beyond.
