Context

Battleship Texas steamed, berthed, and operated alongside hundreds of ships from the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and other fleets across the globe throughout her time in commission from 1914 to 1948. Orville Johnson collected photos throughout his time as a sailor onboard Battleship Texas from 1929 to 1930. USS Wyoming (BB-32) was the lead ship of her class of battleship, and commissioned from September 12, 1912, to August 1, 1947. She was sold for scrap on October 30, 1947
