Robert Zwoboda enlisted on February 19, 1942, and joined the crew of Battleship Texas on May 24, 1942. He became a FC3c on April 23, 1943; a FC2c on October 31, 1943, and a FC1c on October 1, 1945. He left the ship in 1946.
Dress Blues were the standard uniform for the enlisted sailor in the Navy, and included a jumper, trousers, white hat, and blue cap. Patches denoting sailor rate were on their right arm. Sailors also received handkerchiefs, socks, and many other articles.Collection
