Notice of authorization of subsistence allowance awarded to Robert Taylor on 1-14-1947 for four years. Paper has ink blotches near top left of cover page.

Context

Robert Taylor served on both Battleship Texas, and her sister ship Battleship New York. He was a M1c and played the trumpet on both ships from late 1940 to July 1943, and elsewhere until his discharge in 1946. Service records obtained after leaving the Navy.
