Context

Battleship Texas began preparations for Operation “Overlord,” the invasion of Northern France, on April 22, 1944. She departed Belfast for Normandy on June 3, supported the landings from June 6 to June 16, and returned to England on June 18, 1944. Ephriam Dickson was the executive director of Battleship Texas Foundation from June 1995 to February 1999. In addition to his duties, he conducted extensive research on and heavily collected items for the crew of Battleship Texas. He later donated his collection back to BTF.
