Battleship Texas sailed to the east coast in January 1946, began preparation for deactivation and donation to the State of Texas on February 13, and was in the U.S. Reserve Fleet from June 18, 1946, to April 21, 1948. She was decommissioned at San Jacinto State Park.Collection
