Peter Fiedler was the first captain of the nuclear cruiser USS Texas (CGN-39) from October 1975 to January 1979. He supervised construction, and took official command on September 10, 1977, when the cruiser was commissioned.
The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (1960- ) was awarded for service in the second period of the Vietnam War beginning in 1960. The medal was awarded by South Vietnam, beginning on March 24, 1966, and was last issued on March 28, 1973.Collection
