Description

Souvenir fan made with image of Battleship Texas using gray and green. "Battleship Texas Houston Texas" Purple string at base where each of the fan pieces. The left-most piece is broken near the bottom of the fan. The fan was likely sold in the museum gifshop. Similar souvenir fans date to 1940s through 1960s

Context

The Battleship Texas Museum was operated by the Battleship Texas Commission from 1948 to 1983. She was located at San Jacinto State Park on the Houston Ship Channel.
