Battleship Texas conducted several escort missions for the Allied Powers throughout the Atlantic Ocean from December 7, 1941, to July 29, 1942.
Howard F. Flood Jr. enlisted in the Naval Reserves with parent permission on February 14, 1941, and went through basic training from July 5 to August 3. He went to additional schooling through September 3, 1941. His first assignment was on Battleship Texas.
HMS Victorious was an Illustrious-class aircraft carrier in the Royal Navy, and commissioned from May 14, 1941, to March 13, 1968. She was scrapped in 1969.Collection
