Description

1895 Texas on postcard with three golden eagles on top, and flags around side and bottom. Crossed cannons and cutlasses on bottom. Ship painted white in Great White Fleet paint scheme. Letter on the back "I am well and hope this will find you all the same" 1910 written letter on the backside.

Context

The 1895 Texas was the 1st ship named USS Texas. She was a pre-dreadnought battleship commissioned from August 15, 1895, to February 11, 1911.
