Context

The Battleship Texas Museum was operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department from 1983 to 2020. She was located at San Jacinto State Park on the Houston Ship Channel. Ed Morrison was a volunteer on Battleship Texas from the 1980s until his death in 2006. He garnered relationships with and frequently wrote to Battleship Texas veterans, was active throughout the ship’s time in Todd Shipyard, and captured many photographs throughout his time with the museum.
