Card sent to John Lamson by John Sickes (42nd Canadians) with injured man in field with buildings behind. Card cover reads: "Are We Downhearted? Not Likely! It's Christmas!!" Exterior cardboard with interior paper held together with string. Interior paper printed "Kind Wishes" John Lamson would likely have gotten this card in 1918, though he could have gotten it any year afterwords.

Context

Battleship Texas underwent post-war refitting in New York Navy Yard from December 26, 1918, to January 31, 1919.
