Three medals on ribbon bar. Blue, Yellow with star, and Red. One of back clasps is missing.

Context

The American Campaign Medal was awarded to US servicemen who participated in that campaign. The medal was made via executive order by FDR on November 6, 1942. The American Defense Service Medal was awarded to US servicemen who worked in the armed forces from September 1939 to December 1941. The medal was made via executive order by FDR on June 28, 1941. The Faithful Service Medal was awarded to servicemen after ten years in the Navy Reserve. The medal was made by Secretary of the Navy, James Paulding on September 12, 1938.
