Battleship Texas largely escorted Allied ships across the Atlantic from January 1943 to April 22, 1944. She mainly sailed from New York to either the UK, Gibraltar, or Casablanca.
Howard F. Flood Jr. enlisted in the Naval Reserves with parent permission on February 14, 1941, and went through basic training from July 5 to August 3. He went to additional schooling through September 3, 1941. His first assignment was on Battleship Texas.Collection
