Blue pennant showing Battleship Texas with a cage mast configuration. Weight recorded at 27,000 tons. Patent obscured and difficult to read. Back of pennant is empty. Made by Holsum Bread Company. The pennant originally had "EAT HOLSUM BREAD" was originally on the header but has faded and chipped off before donation.Context
Battleship Texas was commissioned in 1914, served in World War One throughout 1918, and participated in interwar fleet training throughout the early 1920s.
Holsum Bread Company made pennants of US and foreign warships as a promotion for their company.Collection
