Description

Thin paper dolls. No identifying marks or printing on the back. From the book 2021.Y.19.01.03.08. 2021.Y.19.01.02A Legs are torn off. She has chin length curly blonde hair, blue eyes, red lips and rosy cheeks. She is clasping her hands in front of her. Wearing a white dress with blue ribbon. Shoulder straps are ribbon with an off the shoulder trim of ruffled dress fabric. Straight neckline that is gathered, gathered at the waist and ruffles at the gathered skirt with blue ribbon woven trim. 2021.Y.19.01.01B Black curly hair with brown eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. Facing forward with arms at her side. Wearing a white dress/chemise. The top is gathered under the arms in a straight line that has a strap that extends around the arm with gathers. Pink ribbon goes around the entire top with a bow in the center. Drop waist that is gathered with a full skirt and narrow lace at the bottom. She is wearing white stockings and black shoe. Her left foot and ankle are missing. 2021.Y.19.01.02C Blonde curly hair parted on her left with a large blue bow pinned in her hair on the right. Blue eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. Wearing a heart shaped pendant necklace with two baubles on each side. Standing facing forward and her right hand is holding a fold of her dress. Left arm is bent at the elbow which she is holding across her chest. White dress with square neckline and cap sleeves. Neckline trimmed in blue ribbon. Gathered waist with a wide fabric belt. Gathered skirt with ruffled bottom that has blue ribbon woven through it. Under the dress are bloomers peeking out with a ruffle Brown stockings mid calf and two brown edges at the top and trim such as a bow on the sides. Brown shoes with bow trim and 1" heel. 2021.Y.19.01.02D Male doll. Chin length dark brown wavey hair, blue eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. Standing facing forward with his right arm at his side. Left arm is bent at the elbow and crossed in front of him at waist level. Holding a hair brush. Wearing a white playsuit. Over the shoulder straps that button in the front with one large button on each side. Upper edge is edged in red thread. Belted waist that has matching buttons all the way across with two predominant. White shorts that stop above the knee. Bottom edge hem is finished in red thread. Legs are bare with brown socks and shoes with a strap. Dolls came in booklet form with a red cover and doll on the front. Printing in yellow: PAPER / DOLLS / FROM / THE / 1920'S Ready / to / Cut Out / and / Dress B. Shackman and Co., New York Printed in Hong Kong. Four dolls in the set, three female: Sally, Marie and Susan, male doll is David.
