9" Bisque baby doll. Solid dome head. Sleep blue eyes. Painted lashes and light hair. Dimples, open mouth with two teeth painted on top. Jointed five piece compo body. Original doll with new dress. Back of tag has 917 Marked 3-2/0 / in pencil below is Morimar / body backed 200." (From tag attached to doll)
Head is bisque and the body is compo. Head: hair is comprised of light brown straight strokes of paint. Eyes closed and are blue. Cheeks are heavily painted with small dimple close to the mouth and she has definite chin area. Hands are reaching out with arms parallel to the body. Short fingers. Body is not completely smooth. Toes are moderately identified with high instep.
Replacement clothing is vintage that has been done shortly after the doll was made.
B. Dress - White dress with rounded neckline and long puff sleeves. Base of gathered sleeve has a blue ribbon bow. Bodice has three pieces of vertical lace. Back had button with a thread holder that is missing. Gathered in front and back. Long back plain opening. Deep hem.
C. Slip - Basic A-line with snaps at the shoulders
D. Diaper - Flannel triangle that has a stitch to hold it in place.
E. Socks - Finely knit socks with a ribbed pattern.
F. Booties - Light pink with top edge and outline of foot.
G. Bonnet - White cotton fabric to contour the head. Double row of lace surrounding the face. 1/4" white satin ribbon for tie that has a stitched bow at the top.
* This doll and clothing was mismarked without the FIC. Due to the amount of time spent making the tags and sewing them in it was left as 2023.Y.20, but should be 2023.Y.FIC.20.Dimensions
