Scope and Content

Addendum to original contract for sections of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. In authorizing the advance of prices as stated, it is expressly ordered that the sawer shall not take effect nor be made, but on the condition, that the parties in the contracts for said Sections, do give under their hands and seals a full release and relinquishment of all & ? and claims of any nature whatever which said parties may consider in themselves to have for their contracts on said Section No 205 and No 206, and for their contracts on any other Sections, and that they the parties aforesaid, accept the advances of prices herein authorized in full for all & ? and claims of any nature whatsoever, & for any Contract whatsoever with this Company. Said price work to commence till first of December 1837 _ The work to be completed by the 15th of May. Estimate to be so arranged as never to leave less than Five Thousand Dollars in the hands of the Company Back: 134 / 116
