Bisque Bentlay Baby Bye doll. 5.25" doll with slightly elongated head and soft brown paint for hair. Blue open painted eyes with light eyebrows. Pink lips. Entire body is bisque with moveable arms and legs.
Original clothing but ribbon on bonnet is replacement.
B. Dress: cream colored machine lace fabric with floral design. Gathered at the neck and encased with a turned tape matching fabric. Seams down the sides with puff, full length sleeves having lace edging. The same lace is at the bottom of the dress. Back closure is a small button with thread loop. A stitch was taken below it to close the back. 2 1/4" opening.
C. Full slip: Cream batiste fabric with V neck front and deeper in the back. Bottom of the V in the back has a 3/16" white button and thread loop. Open another 1.5" past the button. All edges have been hand overcast. Bottom hem has 3/8" lace with a scalloped edge and teardrop pattern. Very narrow seam with small tight stitches.
D. Undershirt: Thin knit fabric.
E. Diaper: Cream colored cotton flannel fabric that is held by safety pins on each side. Zig-zag top edge and lace on the other edges.
F. Booties: Two booties that are crocheted with 1/8" white satin ribbon. Scalloped top edge.
G. Hat: Same lace fabric as the dress. Fabric has been cut at the back of the head and stitched to surround the back of the head with extremely small stitches. Bottom edge has small overcast stitches. White 1/8" satin ribbon is attached at the bottom of each side at the front of the bonnet and goes over the front head with tails to tie. Same lace trim that is on the bottom of the dress is on the front.Dimensions
