Description
Black silk mourning blouse with netting and lace. Stand-up collar with horizontal pintucks and narrow lace. Yoke features netting with embroidery down the middle with a scroll and floral motif and leaves in rows along with half circles on the netting going horizontally. 16 vertical rows of pintucks on each side. Three rows of narrow lace with an oval motif in the center go from the bust area to the bottom. Waist has six pleats on each side of the center lace and hem of a narrow seam curves down in the middle.
Sleeves have a slight fullness with three rows of three pintucks. 5" cuff area has inset lace, three tucks, inset lace, two tucks and 1" lace. The sleeve is stitched on the outside of the bodice over the sleeve near the edge.
Back: The shoulder seam is about 1.5" down the back with one of the lace features ending in a scolloped pattern. There are two sets of three pintucks and one row of lace on each side of the opening. There are three hook and eyes at the collar, one button, hook and eye and four buttons that are in an underlayer of the garment. The last button is 3.5" from the hem.
