Black velvet bonnet with feathers. Looks like artist cap. Layered with large pleats tacked along the sides. Flat top. Black plain fabric about 2" wide woven in around the base. Black plumes coming off one side. Most of the feathers are broken and some seem to be missing. Ribbon on both sides to form a tie.
Inside: Wire crisscrossed base. Fabric sewn along the edges and probably gathered in the middle at one time.
