Blue velvet wedding dress
A. Bodice is made of a medium weight fabric that has a ribbed finish and sheen. Set in sleeves with the seam coming from 2" above the underarm on the front. Blue velvet 2.5" cuff with a slit at the bottom and cuff is separated but attached. Blue velvet with two rows of rhinestone buttons down the front separated by a 4.5" velvet panel. The buttons on her left have buttonholes. Mandarin 1" collar of velvet with a section that is loose and wraps around in the front. The bottom below the waist has a 3" opening that widens to the angled hem that goes off to the sides to expose the skirt and is separate from the back panel. Lined in brown cotton.
Back: Six arched sections at the top that narrow at the waist to become form fitting. The entire jacket is made of four sections. Right back side panel extends to the front that has a seam from the arm area to below the waist to create shape. Middle panels, left and right go from the neckline to the bottom. Left panel is the same as the right. Bustle is created by a series of pleats and tucks just below the waist. The side panels at the hip area are pleated horizontally to create shape. Straight hemline.
B. Jacket of blue velvet rose fabric that has a basic pointed collar and set-in sleeves. There is a hook at the top with the eye missing. Fourteen buttons down the front that are all missing.
Back: Six panels with a box on each side of the bottom with additional fullness. Taped hem on the back.
C. Skirt Blue cotton waistband and hip area that is shorter in the front than the back.The back comes to a V in the back and is gathered at the top Plume velvet roses attached to it in an A frame design with seven 10" slits evenly spaced at the lower level. Each panel is 9" wide. Under this area are 14" pleated ruffles going around the entire skirt that are 2.5" from the velvet hemline. The upper area in the back is cotton that has deep pleats to create fullness with brown fabric at the top center near the opening. Hook and eye closure with hook missing. Pocket at the right hip of a lighter blue gabardine cotton.
D. Additional fabric, full panel. 20.125" wide with selvedge on each side with a white strip. Cut at an angle for 20". 70" long to the longest section.
